By purchasing a rug from The Southern Loom you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below:

CONDITION OF RUGS:

All of the rugs sold on The Southern Loom are of vintage and antique condition, which means that it is a rug that is pre-owned.  Things such as wear, some discoloration and imperfections are all considered normal and not defects. All rugs are professionally cleaned before being sold.

  

PHOTOGRAPHS:

All rugs are photographed in natural lighting with out the use of filters. I try to capture the true nature of each rug. Please know that the colors of the rugs may vary depending on what screen you are viewing them from. 

**Please note: Natural lighting plays a big part in the appearance of a rug in a home or staged setting. If natural lighting is absent it is very possible the colors of the rug will appear darker or different than pictured on my website. 

 

RETURN POLICY:

We want you to love your purchase! If for whatever reason, you are unhappy with your purchase, you may initiate a return within 7 calendar days of receiving your shipment. 

Once your return is received by us in good condition, we’ll process the refund minus a nominal $50 restocking fee, and $5 USD per cushion case or per sealed cushion insert. Rug pads are not eligible for refund. If you are returning your rug from outside the US, you may be responsible for taxes and duties upon arrival in the US and to our warehouse. We are unable to estimate how much this might be, as prices will vary by country. 

Please note that rugs, cushion cases, and cushion inserts must be undamaged, retain all original tags, and be in sellable condition in order to be eligible for refund. Cushion inserts must remain in their original sealed packaging to be eligible for return for hygienic reasons. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on rug pads also for hygienic reasons, unless there is a product defect.

If you have more than one box to ship back, please email us at laura@thesouthernloom.com to get your return started. At this time, our Returns Center is only able to generate one label per return initiated. 

After initiating a return a shipping label will be emailed to you. Affix it to the original box, which you can drop off at any UPS location. The returned items must reach our warehouse within 14 calendar days from the time you receive the UPS return label.

If you're looking to exchange your rug for another, we recommend you go ahead and purchase the replacement rug you're eyeing. Because all of our items are one-of-a-kind, we cannot guarantee that another rug will still be available by the time we are able to process your refund. Thank you for your understanding

 

 CLEANING YOUR VINTAGE RUGS AT HOME:

You can spot clean your rug at home using a mild soap and a soft brush. I do not recommend placing your rug in a washing machine. Shake your rug out once every couple of months. You can use the suction of your vacuum with out the rotating brush. 

 

RUG PADS:

I recommend for the preservation of your rug and to keep it from moving around your floor to use a rug pad. Amazon carries several good brands of rug pads. You can also buy a larger rug pad and cut it down to your needed size if you do not see your specific size.
